The Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing is a pivotal position with the priority of successfully managing the Power Generation business.
· Provide supervision to Project Managers and Corporate marketing on assigned marketing and proposal pursuits within the Industrial & Infrastructure market segment within a defined budget.
· In support of Division Vice President develop annual profit plan for market segment including earned sales and gross margin for current and anticipated projects, new bookings, and sales and bid/proposal resource requirements.
· Actively and prominently collaborate and lead in proposal preparation, estimating, planning and pricing. Participate in risk analysis/management and contract negotiations with customer.
· Support company continuous improvement efforts and activities.
· Oversee all client relationships; develop plans for new strategic market objectives and oversee implementation plans and activities.
· Provide/communicate ongoing business development related information to the Division management and all other appropriate related/interested parties.
· Identify market potential, develop and implements sales and marketing strategy. Analyze sales statistics, estimate volume and profit potential and develop realistic forecasts and projections.
· Maintain relationship with key customers and vendors by making periodic visits, identifying and exploring needs, and responding to concerns in a timely manner.
· Organize, prepare and lead company qualification presentations and all programs required for client development.
· Proactively monitor and maintain positive and effective customer relations.
Negotiate/secure timely customer approval for project scope changes and contract modifications.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE,
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required; MBA preferred
Experience: 10+ year’s prior experience in the sales and marketing of valves or instrumentation to the power generation and related industries. Have in depth knowledge of engineered products (Valves, Pumps, Capital Equipment, etc)
· Background in brand/product awareness, development and promotion from a marketing perspective. Career experience within Utilities, EPC’s, OEM’s also considered in addition to an Engineering background
