JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The hands-on IT leader is for leading a team of approximately 3 direct reports.  IT leadership includes:  developing, training, goal and performance management.   One primary objective is to work with direct/indirect cross functional employees as “natural work teams” or “mini-business units”. 

As a leader, the successful candidate will partner with other team members to execute the financial commitments of the business.  Manage, direct, and implement operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of division’s goals.  Focuses for short-term goals are systems up-time, on-time-delivery, cost of sales, quality, gross margin, and human resources throughout the value chain. Focuses for long-term goals are the formulation, planning, and implementation of strategies for ongoing process improvements throughout the value chain.  Position will be responsible for managing the IT business process from supporting the customer order to customer dock.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership
  • Drive IT metrics (helpdesk, downtime measurements, deliveries, etc)
  • Researches and recommends system development priorities
  • Departmental Reporting.
  • Departmental Budget Planning and Tracking,
  • Project Planning and plan organization/development
  • Adherence and upholding of corporate IT standards and policies
  • Documentation and maintenance of SOX related matters

 

Faciltiates the activies of the internal IT Team in providing the following:

  • Report Development and documentation in a Epicor/Vantage environment.
  • All ERP Application Maintenance, Repairs, user Requests and Security
  • All end user support
  • All Computer System Maintenance and Repairs
  • All desktop standards and support
  • Disaster recovery.
  • Telephone and VOIP
  • Wireless Technologies
  • Complies with all company policies/procedures.
  • Complies with all military and contractual requirements.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES

Education:  Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical / management field or experienced considered

 

Experience:  10+ years of progressive ERP / manufacturing experience preferred. 3 to 5 years of that performing in a supervisory role within the IT Department.
