Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Summary: The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall direction and management of patient care services, working in conjunction with managers, rehabilitation supervisors, and coordinators to assure coordination of services provided to clients. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for overall management of the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

· RN with a Bachelor’s of Science or a Master’s Degree in Nursing or a health-related field

· Minimum 3 years at the Clinical Manager or Supervisory level coupled with progressive Home Care management experience

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Professionalism

· Customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

· Strong clinical background
