Stationary Equipment Expert, Baytown, TX

Salary $100K- 140K, 12% Bonus, Relocation provided

Fee is 25%

Candidates Must Have:

    · Master's degree and five years of experience, or Ph.D. and three years of experience with repair/modification/maintenance functions

    · Petro-chemical process stationary equipment experience.

    · Process, Materials, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical background;

    · Six Sigma Experience

    · Familiar with PM/PdM principles;

    · Experience in reliability-centered engineering

The Stationary Equipment Expert will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for stationary equipment, maintaining a high level of technical competence regarding specific equipment design, mechanical component function, process application, repair and modifications. In addition, the Stationary Equipment Expert will be a SME for stationary equipment RBI and inspection methodologies/NDE techniques.

Responsibilities:

·        Drive organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that the organization's intellectual capital, know-how, information and experience is shared inside and (as appropriate) outside the organization with partners and stakeholders;

·        Design, develop and maintain internal policies/procedures/workflows relating to stationary equipment asset strategies and to ensure consistency of their application at the Baytown Industrial Site;

·        Benchmark/statistical analysis of stationary equipment SAP/Meridium data to identify best practices and for KPI tracking;

·        Identify systemic reliability/availability problems across the site/Business Units (BU's) related to stationary equipment and propose solutions;

·        Use best practices/KPIs to drive improvement in stationary equipment reliability to ensure the Mechanical Integrity program is both effective and efficient.

  Requirements:

·        Master's degree and five years of experience, or Ph.D. and three years of experience with repair/modification/maintenance functions, this could include ability to write stationary equipment repair scopes and plans and come up with alternatives;

·        Expertise with design/operation/maintenance of stationary equipment;

·        Knowledge of metallurgy and damage mechanisms and/or repair strategies;

·        Broad technical background and knowledge of applicable codes (ASME, API, NACE, etc.);

·        Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities;

·        Ability to influence and lead within a structured organization;

·        Self-starter qualities with minimum supervision;

·        Ability to accept ownership, is accountable and delivers on commitments.

    Preferred Qualifications:

·        Six Sigma knowledge;

·        Process, Materials, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical background;

·        Knowledge of risk management, in particular Risk Based Inspection;

·        Familiar with PM/PdM principles;

·        Experience in reliability-centered engineering;

·        Basic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) knowledge;

·        Ability to work in an international environment;

·        Inspection experience;

·        Ability to accept ownership, balance short and long term demands, resolve conflicts diplomatically;

·        Commitment to continuous learning, team player;

·        An understanding of and uses functional expertise to contribute to the success of the business;

·        Petro-chemical process stationary equipment experience.
