POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Business Development Manager, Client Services Consultant
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
A Client Services Consultant assists client companies in planning, managing and
implementing organizational change which may include Career Transition and/or
Organizational Consulting. The consultant is responsible for maintaining effective
working relationships with existing clients by responding to client needs and developing
open channels of communications. In addition, the consultant will develop and actively
pursue a targeted list of prospective clients who may require the services of
Management Consultants. This person reports to the Managing Principal and works
closely with the Professional Services Consultants.

Research and identify a targeted list of prospective clients who may have demonstrated
need.
· Set-up introductory meetings with appropriate decision-makers to understand their specific needs and provide them with an overview of how we may service them. A targeted number of appointments per week is 8 face-to-face interviews.
Continue to build relationships with clients by scheduling personal meetings, inviting them to seminars, and mailing relevant information to them about our services.
• Write formal proposals conduct presentations to clients with specific needs.
• Assist Managing Principal and Client Services Consultants in other offices in developing local account relationships with clients.
• Conduct meetings with appropriate manager and human resource professionals in planning for organizational change (i.e., OP or OC) and gather relevant information on employee(s)affected.
• Maintain existing client base and develop new business relationships with targeted clients.
• Continually up-date knowledge on businesses and industry trends in the territory.
• Actively participate in human resource and other appropriate professional associations.
• Participate in speaking engagements to organizations.
Delivery
• Conduct corporate preliminary meetings with appropriate manager(s) and human resource professionals to discuss the details of the termination including how, when, and where the termination will take place and the development of a plan to follow through on such functions.
• Provide notifier training for client company advising on how to manage the termination meeting.
• Meet with affected employee(s) after notification which allows employee to express his/her concerns, problems, or anxiety and supplies employee with information concerning the services offered to them.
• Provide Professional Services Consultant with background information on the candidate prior to the first counseling session and assists consultant during the counseling process as needed.
• Communicate with client on an on-going basis regarding candidate's progress and continually assists client company in the implementation of the change process.
• Report to client company on successful landing of candidate.
• Assist in facilitating workshops, counseling candidates when necessary.
• Assist in large projects when necessary.
• Assist in delivery of group workshops when necessary.
• Perform all other duties as requested by supervisor.
