Responsibilities:
• Use, manage, and improve network monitoring and alerting systems
• Think of and suggest ways to improve our monitoring process
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance problems
• Escalate and push network issues to resolution within Voxeo and with our vendors.
• Maintain and respond to information from security monitoring systems
• Prepare network systems performance reports and analyze them for potential issues
• Maintain network infra structure documentation
• Help organize and maintain internal systems to track issues and resolutions
• Help others on the Network Operations team as required

Requirements:
• Basic UNIX/Linux operating and troubleshooting skills - Min.3+ years
• Basic Windows Server operating and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with TCP/IP networking - 3+ years Cisci Switch/Router exp.
• Basic Windows Server operating and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with TCP/IP networking - 3+ years Cisci Switch/Router exp.
• Experience with network monitoring systems such as Nagios or OpenNMS is a bonus
Other pluses include inventory management and hardware ordering, knows how to rack servers in a NOC environment and Solar Wind experience.
