IS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Maintains, monitors, designs and supports IT and applications with critical reliability and maximum uptime. Responsible for the overall MIDAS + applications administration including supporting, evaluating, implementing and troubleshooting and coordinating these approaches were applicable for hardware, software, and integrated 3rd party systems for MIDAS + solutions. Maintains a high level of service on MIDAS +systems and anticipates future requirements, trends, and changes to assure current and future customer satisfaction. Performs troubleshooting of MIDAS + system problems utilizing management consoles and/or other troubleshooting tools. Assists in creating and maintaining graphical and text-based documentation and standards. Assists in configuring and implementing monitoring and management systems. Available 24 X 7 for scheduled maintenance windows.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree (BA,BS,IS or It ore related field).
EXPERIENCE: Ideal candidate will have greater then 5 years experience utilizing MIDAS + as an Analyst or System Administrator in the support of clinical operations within the units of Quality Improvement, Epidemiology, Infection Control, Decision Support and Risk Management. Candidate must have working knowledge of HL7 Interfaces, FTP Processes, Data Mining from multiple systems and knowledge of report writing tools such as Crystal. An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and its application as a business intelligence tool across a web platform is a definite asset. This position will also be responsible for maintenance activities so a candidate with 3-5 years experience working in a Microsoft operating system and performing installation/implementation of MIDAS + system packages and flashes is necessary for the successful candidate.
SKILLS: Proven work history with demonstrated success in team work and collaboration resulting in a series of project or program successes. Demonstrates knowledge in relational Data Base management systems, including but not limited to Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL, and DB2. Microsoft operating system knowledge related to installation of environment upgrades and patches. Candidates should possess advanced level of analytical and presentation skills.. Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to reflect a positive and flexible attitude when working with others.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER: Clinical Background as a Registered Nurse would be preferred but is not required
