Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for the business relationship of a client and serves as the primary representative between company and the client.  The goals of the position are to drive the successful use of company software at the client site, assure that the client will provide good external references, and secure software license renewal.  The Account Manager will also identify areas of need for additional consulting and software.  The term "client" refers to all client companies that have been assigned to the Account Manager. 

 

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Meeting defined goals for client renewals, references, and satisfaction.
  • Cultivating business partner relationships with key personnel and decision makers at the client company to understand the business environment and political structure. 
  • Establish and maintain client relations, client sponsors and client satisfaction with all levels of management to assess business needs and facilitate implementation plans.
  • Promoting the use of company software to achieve client business goals and vision through training clients to obtain maximum satisfaction.
  • Developing and/or maintaining a positive level of client satisfaction with company.
  • Assisting the sales staff to obtain positive references from the client.
  • Gathering and updating business intelligence in a timely manner for clients and ensuring that it is available to be shared internally at company with concerned parties. 
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for additional consulting and software, where and when appropriate, and communicating that information to the proper Sales staff as they relate to overall organizational goals.
  • Proactively recognizing issues of concern within the client and taking appropriate steps to manage the issues within company. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong background in healthcare (not medical) administration, sales, and account management a plus
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and presentation skills
  • Experience in process improvement, quality,  and risk management
  • Deadline oriented team player
  • Product or Medical management experience preferred.
  • Travel to client sites, trade shows and education sessions, as needed (30%)
